Here's a pre-1976 show that'll blow your mind. It's a top 10 all-timer (and this coming from someone who lives and breathes 1977-78 Dead). It's near perfection, 1st and 2nd set. Great recording and the band in top form throughout.

If that tickles your fancy also check out 6/22/73

You beat me to Veneta. Great show; definitely worth a listen.

If you want some exposure to Pigpen, definitely check out Princeton, 4/17/71. Fantastic Good Lovin' complete with "Buck and a Quarter" rap. The Lovelight is also one of the great ones. King Bee will not disappoint either.

I also really enjoy Kezar 5/26/73. Great Here Comes Sunshine, China>Rider (which I don't usually dig), and sick He's Gone>Truckin'>TOO>Eyes>China Doll to round off the third set. Solid show all around.

And, finally, if it's Dark Star that you came for, look no further than the top notch version from 9/19/70.

Hope that helps you out. There's a lot of great stuff out there for this era!
